Four thousand years ago, humanity celebrated Lucas Traumen as its premier 9-star archmage, a pioneer who broke mortal limitations through peerless spellcraft. Threatened by mortal potential, absolute divine entities known as the Demigods ambushed Lucas. Their leader, Lord, cast the archmage into a sensory-deprivation abyss to suffer eternal torment. For four millennia, Lucas endured isolation, retaining sanity through sheer discipline while contemplating higher-dimensional mana theory.

His consciousness resurfaces inside the physical vessel of Frey Blake, the youngest son of the prestigious House Blake. Frey, labeled an irredeemable failure at Westroad Academy due to defective mana circuits, ended his own life after relentless bullying. Inheriting this damaged teenage frame, Lucas quickly assesses the modern world. Magic has regressed into stagnant incantations, history has erased his legendary comrades, and Demigods secretly pull the strings of mortal kingdoms.

Refusing defeat, Lucas leverages ancient cultivation methods to purge Frey's physiological impurities and reconstruct his mana circles from the ground up. Balancing academic politics, underground alchemical syndicates, and dragon contracts, the reborn archmage initiates an aggressive campaign to eliminate Demigod influence and reclaim humanity's autonomy.

What to Expect

The Archmage Returns After 4000 Years avoids superficial leveling mechanics, relying instead on rigorous magical theory, mana circuit reconstruction, and calculated psychological warfare. The narrative escalates smoothly from the Westroad Academy Arc to continental conflicts involving ancient dragons, Demigod Apostles, and planar rifts. Combat emphasizes elemental supremacy, domain clashes, and strategic exploitation of enemy divine power rather than mindless brawling. Pacing remains steady, balancing technical spell mechanics with escalating political intrigue.
