Operation Strix represents the ultimate diplomatic safeguard between the hostile nations of Westalis and Ostania. Tasked with surveilling Donovan Desmond, the reclusive leader of Ostania's National Unity Party, Westalian intelligence operative Twilight must assemble a functional household within seven days to secure enrollment for his supposed child at the elite Eden Academy. Assuming the civilian cover of psychiatrist Loid Forger, he adopts Anya, a runaway orphan possessing telepathic abilities engineered in an illicit government laboratory. To complete the social facade for school admission interviews, Loid enters a marriage of convenience with Yor Briar, a mild-mannered Berlint City Hall clerk who moonlights as the Garden organization's lethal contract assassin, the Thorn Princess.

Neither adult suspects the double life of the other, while Anya alone perceives every hidden thought, secret mission, and lethal technique across the household. Balancing covert assassinations, counter-intelligence raids by the State Security Service, and the academic pressure of earning Stella Stars at Eden Academy, the Forgers navigate social minefields where one exposed secret risks triggering a continental war.

What to Expect

The series balances tactical spycraft with situational farce. Arcs alternate between life-or-death missions—such as the Cruise Adventure Arc and the Red Circus bus hijacking—and classroom maneuvers involving social status, peer rivalries, and exam survival. Combat sequences showcase clean, grounded martial choreography, urban sniper duels, and counter-surveillance techniques rather than supernatural power escalation. Tension stems directly from dramatic irony, where catastrophic misunderstandings threaten national security while drawing the household closer together.
