In 1999, marine biologist Jotaro Kujo arrives in the tranquil coastal Japanese town of Morioh to locate Josuke Higashikata, the illegitimate teenage son of Joseph Joestar. Josuke appears to be an ordinary high school freshman, yet he commands Crazy Diamond, a powerful Stand capable of repairing broken physical objects and rapidly restoring damaged biological tissue. Jotaro discovers that the ancient Bow and Arrow, an artifact responsible for unlocking Stand abilities, is circulating through Morioh, awakening dangerous manifestations in everyday townspeople.

As strange crimes and supernatural encounters multiply, Josuke forms alliances with classmates Koichi Hirose and Okuyasu Nijimura, alongside the eccentric manga artist Rohan Kishibe. Their investigations reveal a sinister presence operating undetected for over a decade: Yoshikage Kira, an obsessive serial killer seeking a quiet suburban routine while slaughtering women to satisfy his perverse urges. Protected by his lethal explosive Stand, Killer Queen, Kira maneuvers through the shadows of Morioh, forcing Josuke and his companions into a deadly game of deduction, positioning, and psychological survival.

What to Expect

The narrative pivots away from cross-continental travel toward an episodic, localized investigation. Pacing balances lighthearted slice-of-life interactions with sudden, high-tension lethal confrontations. Stand battles rely strictly on spatial awareness, condition triggers, and biological vulnerabilities rather than raw offensive firepower. Readers encounter diverse powers, from spatial erasure to memory reading, culminating in layered tactical deductions where victory depends on exploiting an opponent's psychological blind spots.

The main serialization concluded with Chapter 174 (collected in 18 Volumes). GalaxyManga / GalaxyManga hosts 175 chapter entries, including prologue and supplementary material. For readers tracking adaptations, David Production produced a complete 39-episode television anime covering Part 4 from Chapter 1 through Chapter 174. Readers continuing the overarching franchise timeline can transition directly to Part 5 (Golden Wind) starting from overall franchise Chapter 440.
