Seven years prior, a catastrophic dimensional rupture known as the Dungeon Break shattered Earth, wiping out entire city blocks and claiming the family of young Han Sungyoon. While extraordinary individuals across the globe awakened superhuman powers to combat the monstrous outbreak as hunters, Sungyoon remained completely powerless. Despite spending seven grueling years grinding basic physical conditioning at a private training facility, he failed to awaken even the lowest E-rank hunter trait, drawing relentless contempt from gym master Hwang Manho.

On the verge of despair, an enigmatic dimensional system designates Sungyoon as a candidate for the interdimensional Tower of Trials. Presented with a life-or-death choice where risk dictates return, Sungyoon selects Hard difficulty. The choice triggers a rare awakening: the unique innate trait Necromancy. Rather than merely raising shambling skeletons, Sungyoon's ability reaps the souls of vanquished monsters and rival challengers, absorbing their raw life energy to permanently upgrade his physical stats, acquire combat techniques, and claim transcendent authorities. Cleared floors yield higher system privileges as Sungyoon transitions from an unranked outcast to an unstoppable combat powerhouse, contending with hostile rankers, guild factions, and divine trials.

What to Expect

Boundless Ascension focuses on high-speed combat progression, relentless floor-by-floor trials, and pragmatic anti-hero tactics. The narrative departs from traditional summoner archetypes by turning the necromancer trait into a direct combat enhancer: Sungyoon wields swords and halberds, using absorbed souls to power close-quarters martial strikes and elemental traits. The early story progresses through intense solitary survival tests on Hard difficulty, expanding into floor-wide cooperative trials, PvP death matches against extraplanar entities, and confrontations with earthly guild figures seeking to exploit his sudden rise.
