Eighteen-year-old high school student Gyeono Kang lived what felt like an impossible dream: mutual romantic affection with Baek Chanbi, the undisputed class star and widely admired beauty. Accustomed to her assertive advances and upfront confessions, Gyeono relaxed comfortably within her orbit. That shared reality shatters instantly following a sudden traffic accident. Chanbi survives physically unharmed, but retrograded amnesia erases precisely the past twelve months of her life, stripping away every single memory of her feelings for Gyeono.

Reduced from a cherished boyfriend to a total stranger in an instant, Gyeono faces a brutal role reversal. The passive, timid boy who once let Chanbi do all the emotional heavy lifting must now take the offensive. Caught between crippling self-doubt, rumors circulating through their high school halls, and the nagging fear that Chanbi's original affections might have been misunderstood, Gyeono commits to re-earning her trust from scratch. Across misunderstanding-laden conversations, comedic campus mishaps, and shifting classroom social circles, he is forced to step outside his comfort zone to rekindle the romance they lost.

The main serialization concluded with Chapter 101. GalaxyManga hosts 94 chapter entries, covering the primary narrative arc and student confrontations in a clean reading experience.

What to Expect

Back To Chanbi approaches the classic amnesia romance trope through comedic role reversal and grounded emotional vulnerability. Instead of melodrama or soap opera villainy, the story relies on sharp comedic timing, realistic adolescent insecurities, and slow-burn romantic reconstruction. The central dynamic flips the script on typical school rom-coms: the timid protagonist must actively shed his passive habits, find his voice, and confront social friction among peers like Ji Hye-rim to prove his sincerity. Pacing remains steady, transitioning smoothly from lighthearted classroom banter to sincere character development.
