Manabu Shindo enters high school with a single, uncompromising objective: securing acceptance into the prestigious University of Tokyo. To achieve this demanding goal, he isolates himself from standard extracurricular activities, dedicating every free hour to reference textbooks, mock exam prep, and rigorous self-discipline. His calculated routine collapses when his childhood friend, Megumi Amano, enters the same school and reinserts herself directly into his daily life. Once an energetic tomboy, Megumi has grown into an exceptionally athletic kendo competitor whose natural, oblivious physical posture leads to endless unintentional exposures.

Unaware of the psychological turmoil her closeness creates, Megumi treats Manabu with complete childhood familiarity. Whether dropping by his desk between kendo practices, stretching across his study space, or seeking academic guidance, she constantly exposes her unguarded physique. Manabu wages an internal battle between his academic ambitions and teenage hormonal distractions, initially clinging to an idealized infatuation with former middle school classmate Yuki Mikawa. As high school progresses from freshmen terms to high-stakes third-year cram schools and kendo tournaments, mutual understanding replaces juvenile avoidance, building toward a grounded emotional confession.

What to Expect

The serialization maintains an episodic, high-frequency situational comedy format before transitioning into genuine coming-of-age progression. Readers can expect detailed visual gags centered on kendo training regimens, sports-club athleticism, and intense exam pressure. While early arcs emphasize slapstick ecchi misunderstandings, later volumes develop authentic emotional stakes as both leads confront post-graduation realities, collegiate entrance trials, and long-suppressed childhood feelings.
