During high school, reserved student Dorae Lee harbored an unspoken crush on Haewon Cha, a fierce delinquent surrounded by intimidation and wild rumors. Misunderstandings and social friction forced them apart before either could articulate their feelings, driving Dorae to bury those sentiments as she moved on to university life. Five years later, their paths collide on a modern college campus, but under deeply disorienting circumstances.

Haewon approaches Dorae and abruptly confesses his feelings, behaving as if no time has passed. A recent motor vehicle crash wiped out five complete years of his adult memory, leaving his mind stranded at age eighteen on the exact day he planned to declare his affection. Dorae faces a painful dilemma: Haewon remains wholly sincere about his teenage adoration, yet the intervening five years altered their realities, establishing social obligations, lingering secrets, and adult commitments that he can no longer recall. As Dorae guides him through their current college environment, both must confront whether youthful sentiment can survive the unyielding demands of adulthood.

What to Expect

The narrative maintains a grounded, emotionally tense rhythm driven by personal introspection and interpersonal conflict. Rather than relying on supernatural tropes, the plot anchors itself on the psychological fallout of retrograded memory loss, social anxiety, and unaddressed trauma. Tension stems from dramatic irony: readers witness Haewon's earnest teenage perspective clash repeatedly against the mature expectations, hidden relationships, and five years of unspoken history that Dorae carries alone.
